As an IT professional, you need to develop an all-round competency in handling security incidents. This class will immerse the student into an interactive environment where they will be shown how to scan, test, hack and secure a system. When a student leaves this intensive course, they not only practice in ethical hacking, but also learn the countermeasures with hands-on experiences.

Course Content

1) Introduction to ethical hacking

2) A hacker's view of TCP/IP protocols and their vulnerabilities

3) FIVE(5) phases of hacking :

(i) Reconnaissance (Social Engineering, Physical Break-In, Dumpster Diving, Using Web, Whois and DNS)
(ii) Scanning (War Dialing, Network Mapping, Port Scanning, Vulnerability Scanning, IDS Evasion Techniques, WLAN Scanning)
(iii) Gaining Access (Buffer Overflow, Password Cracking, Web Application Attack, SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting, Sniffing, IP Spoofing, Session Hijacking, DoS, DDoS, Web Browser Attack, Mail Client Attack)
(iv) Maintain Access (Privilege Escalation, Trojans, Active and Passive Backdoor Command Shell, File-level and Kernel-level Rootkits)
(v) Cover the track (Log Clearing, Steganography, Cover Channel and Evidence Erasing)

4) Countermeasures to various attacks

5) Instructor Demonstration

6) Latest cover of the wireless security

7) 20+ hours hands-on ( students who need to bring their notebook for exercises)

Instructors : Member of Professional Information Security Association (PISA), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with many years working experiences in IT industry as well as hands-on experiences in information security area.
